The Four Tops

The legendary Four Tops, with their infectious blend of sweet harmonies and powerful vocals, arrived at Motown in 1963 and quickly set a high standard for contemporary soul with #1 hits, “I Can’t Help Myself,” and “Reach Out, I’ll Be There,” as well as numerous tunes that reached the Top 40, including, “Baby I Need Your Loving,” “It’s The Same Old Song,” “Bernadette” and “Standing In The Shadows of Love.” Their popularity continued into the Seventies and Eighties with such hits as “It’s All In the Game,” and “Ain’t No Woman Like The One I’ve Got.” Grammy nominations, their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the release of the “Four Tops Anthology: 50th Anniversary” in 2004 are just some of the many highlights in the career of this “one-in-a-million singing group” as described by Smokey Robinson.
