The Newport Waterfront Festivals are a celebration of music, food, family & fun right on Newport's historic waterfront.

Our festival season starts In June with the Great Chowder Cook-Off. Sample clam, seafood, and creative chowders from the areas best restaurants and caterers. June is also the time for the Sunset Music Festival, a truly memorable concert series downtown on the waterfront, overlooking Newport Harbor.

In August we are pleased to welcome back the Wooden Boat Show to its original home at the Newpor Yachting Center.

In September, join us for the Newport Waterfront Irish Festival. It’s a celebration of Ireland’s history, music and culture for the whole family. September wouldn’t be complete without the Taste of Rhode Island, a food and beverage festival where you can sample what the Ocean State’s best restaurants and caterers have to offer.
